Founded in 2002 by Al and Janis McWilliams in Sonoma’s Russian River Valley, Arista Winery specialized in small-lot, terroir-driven Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Known for high-quality, cold-climate wines, the winery was managed by sons Mark and Ben McWilliams from 2012, with Matt Courtney serving as winemaker. The winery is unfortunately concluding its operations with a final 2024 vintage release in 2026.
Crimson in color. 14.6% ABV. Pretty nose of red fruits, sarsaparilla, baking spices and flowers. Medium body with exquisite acidity. Crisp and refreshing with crunchy fruits. Cherry, cranberry, strawberry and cloves on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish. Simply a beautiful Sonoma Coast appellation wine that has the structure to drink well for another 3-5 years…
