Breakdown at The Breakers: Woman arrested, accused of 1-star behavior at 5-star resort

PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A late-night disturbance at one of Palm Beach’s most upscale landmarks ended with a Texas woman arrested on a disorderly intoxication charge, according to Palm Beach police.

Jacqueline Marie Croft, 30, was arrested April 26 after officers responded to The Breakers Palm Beach, where police say she became loud, disruptive and aggressive during an argument in the hotel lobby. Croft was charged with disorderly intoxication, a misdemeanor under Florida law.

According to the probable cause affidavit, officers were called to the luxury oceanfront resort at about 10:46 p.m. for a reported disturbance in the lobby. When the first officer arrived, he saw Croft engaged in a verbal argument with another woman. Police wrote that as the officer approached, Croft appeared to reach toward the other woman, and the two made contact with their hands before witnesses pulled them apart and the dispute began turning physical…
