Murfreesboro Police Department’s Crosswalk Talk initiative to keep pedestrians safe

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Murfreesboro Police Department is aiming to keep residents and college students safe when crossing the street with the new “Crosswalk Talk” safety initiative.

The MPD recently partnered with the Tennessee Highway Patrol to raise awareness on safety at crosswalks.

Lieutenant Zachary Ferrell with the MPD said the Crosswalk Talk program is the best way to get community feedback on what roads need improvements across the city and on the Middle Tennessee State University campus.
