CRANSTON, R.I. (WJAR) — As leaders in Cranston look into what led the city into a budget deficit of nearly $10 million, some pointed to police and fire overtime pay as a contributing factor.
But Maj. Todd Patalano with the Cranston Police Department said first responders aren’t to blame.
“That’s certainly not the cause, the police and fire overtime,” he said. “That’s for sure.”
