Father of homicide suspect charged with obstruction of justice in fatal hit-and-run

MURRAY, Utah (ABC4) — A man has been charged with obstruction of justice in connection with his son’s murder case. His son is accused of fatally hitting a pedestrian and fleeing the scene in July 2025.

Francisco Montes Poncho Portillo Montes, 51, has been charged with one count of obstruction of justice with capital/first degree felony conduct (a second-degree felony).
