Arrest Made in 2022 Fatal Crash That Killed North Carolina Man in Leesburg

LEESBURG, Fla. — A man has been arrested nearly four years after a crash in Leesburg that left a 69-year-old North Carolina man dead, following a lengthy traffic homicide investigation, according to police.

Terrance Raghoonauth, 33, of Lauderdale, Florida, was taken into custody April 26, 2026, and booked into the Lake County Detention Center on a charge of vehicular homicide.

The arrest stems from a May 14, 2022 crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 27/441 and Tally Road. Investigators said Kenny Ray Amdahl, 69, of Hubert, North Carolina, was driving a gold 1988 Cadillac northbound in the right lane when a silver 2019 Lexus driven by Raghoonauth, traveling in the left lane, swerved into the right lane…
