AUSTIN, Texas — A warrant service at an East Austin apartment complex turned chaotic Monday after a crowd gathered and began confronting officers, resulting in two arrests.
Austin Police Department officers and the Violent Crimes Task Force arrived at the Booker T. Washington Apartments, 905 Bedford St., at approximately 3 p.m. April 27 to serve a warrant on a juvenile suspect wanted in connection with multiple violent offenses, including an aggravated robbery series. Officers detained several individuals and recovered firearms from inside the residence.
