SAN ANTONIO – Two San Antonio residents who were hospitalized following a series of natural gas explosions last week on Northeast Side last week have filed a lawsuit against CPS Energy, alleging negligence that led to the incident.
The plaintiffs, Mayte Terrie Reeves and Jose Ochoa, claim they suffered serious injuries after a gas leak and subsequent explosion near their residence on Apr. 21 off Preston Hollow Drive near Thousand Oaks Drive, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit alleges that a nearby home first exploded and caught fire due to a natural gas leak, prompting an evacuation order for residents in the area.
