ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An investigation is underway after crews battled a fire in Albany on Wednesday evening. Authorities said the fire was in a detached garage in the back of an unoccupied structure on New Scotland Avenue.
According to Albany Fire Chief Joseph Gregory, multiple calls were received about the fire. Albany Fire Department was dispatched at 6:38 p.m., and crews arrived at 6:40 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters found fire on the second floor of the garage. Crews were able to keep it contained to that area, and quickly extinguished it. The fire was brought under control by 6:52 p.m…
