Albany, NY (WRGB) — A 59-year-old North Carolina man was arrested on felony weapons charges after investigators said he was found with multiple loaded guns and ammunition at the Albany County Social Services Department, according to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.
Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple Sr. reported that on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, members of the Albany County Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Effort (SCOPE) Unit received a complaint about a man who entered the Albany County Social Services Department and, while being screened by security, was found in possession of a firearm magazine with ammunition.
