A late-night run to a Dyckman Street bar ended in violence earlier this month, and now police are asking Inwood residents to help them track down a suspect.
Investigators say a 32-year-old man was repeatedly stabbed in the back outside a busy bar-and-grill in the neighborhood just after last call. The attack, which detectives describe as still very much an open case, unfolded in the early hours of April 4.
According to amNewYork, the violence broke out around 1:40 a.m. at 106 Dyckman St., right outside the 809 Bar & Grill. Officers from the NYPD’s 34th Precinct arrived to find the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds to his back. Police said the attacker displayed a cutting instrument during the confrontation, then fled in an unknown direction. No arrests have been made, and the victim refused medical attention at the scene, the outlet reported.
