Major cleanup of Stockton homeless encampment behind church put on hold

(FOX40.COM) — A planned cleanup of a homeless encampment behind a Stockton church has been rescheduled, as city leaders said the issue will require more time, coordination, and funding than initially expected.

The encampment is tucked in a slough behind Restoration for Life Ministries on East Anderson Street, where church leaders have raised concerns about thefts, break-ins, fires, and lewd activity they say has been happening for years.
