CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — A YouTube video questioning the Cedar Rapids Marathon route has prompted organizers to respond to concerns about how the course is being planned and whether claims in the video are accurate.
The video claims parts of the route include private property, gravel roads and railroad crossings. Organizers said the course is still being finalized through a permitting and approval process and that changes are a normal part of building a first-year event.
