Beyoncé fans are buzzing with anticipation, convinced that Act III of her ambitious trilogy is on the horizon-and that music icon Stevie Nicks might make a special appearance on the album.
The excitement within the Beyhive has been steadily growing as fans speculate about when the 44-year-old superstar will release the next installment and which musical style she’ll explore this time. Beyoncé first revealed her three-part project in 2022, kicking things off with Renaissance, an album rooted in dance and house music.
The follow-up, Cowboy Carter (2024), took a surprising turn into country sounds. She has also been touring to support each chapter of the series.
Recently, eagle-eyed fans noticed Beyoncé posting a vintage video on her website featuring Destiny’s Child-herself, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams-sharing a warm moment with Stevie Nicks. The footage dates back to 2001, capturing Nicks on the set of Destiny’s Child’s “Bootylicious” music video. Stevie can be seen playing the guitar riff that the song famously samples from her 1981 hit “Edge of Seventeen.”
Stevie Nicks, renowned for her role in Fleetwood Mac and her solo career, is a rock legend, which has sparked widespread fan theories that the upcoming Act III will embrace rock music. Social media quickly erupted with excitement, with fans interpreting the clip as confirmation that the new album is near, will feature Nicks, and will be rock-inspired.
One fan on X (formerly Twitter) shared, “She’s actually coming omfg everyone remain calm… album of the millennium is imminent.” Another added, “Okay, y’all were right about Act III happening sooner than we thought.”
Comments like “Stevie Nicks on Act III confirmed… YONKA HEALINGS ARE HERE” and “IM GAGGING SHES ON THE ALBUM” flooded timelines.
Many believe Beyoncé’s third act will dive into classic rock, noting her previous albums celebrated genres deeply rooted in Black culture, with rock poised as the next frontier. Supporting this theory, Beyoncé recently paid tribute to rock legends such as Tina Turner, Little Richard, and Chuck Berry during the Cowboy Carter Tour.
Despite the growing speculation, Beyoncé’s publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, has dismissed rumors that the album’s release is imminent or that a new era is kicking off at this year’s Met Gala, where Beyoncé is serving as co-chair. A fan account claimed on April 27 that Act II was complete, would be announced shortly after the Met Gala, with a single dropping next month and a summer release planned-claims Yvette firmly denied on social media.
For now, fans remain on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting official news about Beyoncé’s next artistic chapter.
