Winter Park Carjacking Sparks 30-Mile I-4 Chase Before Troopers Pounce

An armed carjacking in Winter Park turned a stretch of Interstate 4 into the setting for a roughly 30-mile pursuit late Wednesday night, ending near mile marker 112 when troopers stopped the vehicle and took the driver into custody, according to law enforcement. Florida Highway Patrol troopers and Winter Park police temporarily shut down eastbound lanes to bring the chase to a halt and make the arrest.

The carjacking was reported along the 2500 block of Aloma Avenue, at 2516 Aloma Ave, where officers say a driver was forced from a vehicle, according to WESH.
