Goose eggs smashed with hammer days before expected to hatch in front of Missouri mall

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV/Gray News) – A woman was accused of smashing Canadian goose eggs in a nest at a Missouri shopping center shortly before they were expected to hatch, according to officials at the mall.

A planter in front of a jewelry store at the Independence Center shopping center served as a yearly breeding ground for geese. Jewelry store staff said they watched a woman grab a hammer and destroy the eggs.
