The reigning Class 4A state champion Brownwood Lady Lions track and field team – fresh off a three-peat at both the district and area level – are seeking a second consecutive Region I-4A championship this weekend at Lowery Field in Lubbock.
The Lady Lions are sending 18 entrants – including 10 area champions and six-runners-up – to the meet, which has already seen its schedule revised due to the weather.
Currently, there will be no field events Friday as they have all been moved to Saturday with rain chances of better than 90 percent in the forecast for the first day of the meet.
