Mystery on the Fox River as Body Pulled From Water Near St. Charles

Authorities in St. Charles are investigating after a man’s body was found in the Fox River on Wednesday morning, following reports of an unresponsive person floating in the water. First responders recovered the man and turned the case over to the county coroner, who will work to determine how he died and who he was.

According to FOX 32 Chicago, St. Charles police and fire crews were dispatched around 9:10 a.m. to the west side of the Fox River in the 200 block of North Second Street after callers reported an unresponsive man in the water. Rescue personnel pulled the body from the river and notified the Kane County Coroner’s Office to handle identification and further investigation.
