Raising Cane’s rival tees up third San Antonio-area location amid Texas takeover

Bojangles is fresh off opening its second San Antonio location, and already, the national fried chicken chain is planning another restaurant in a nearby suburb.

In the coming months, construction will begin for a new Bojangles out in Converse, where it will be built from the ground up, according to a recently filed project details page with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The filing said that the construction process will run from June 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with an estimated cost of $1.8 million. However, details on construction filings are subject to change without notice.
