SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — A University of Utah student has been detained by ICE just days before he was set to graduate.
Lisandro Pantaleon Pacheco, 22, has been detained by ICE just days before he was supposed to graduate from the University of Utah’s College of Health on May 1, according to Utah attorney Adam Crayk. He was expected to receive his bachelor’s degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism.
He had also recently purchased an engagement ring and was planning to propose to his girlfriend the week after graduation.
