Food truck fire inspections streamlined in Cedar Rapids area

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – Fire departments across the Cedar Rapids area are streamlining the inspection process for food truck owners.

To sell food from a food truck, owners need to go through a permitting process, which includes a fire inspection. Both are needed for each city where a truck plans to park. Fire departments are now making it a one-stop shop for a fire permit valid throughout the area.
