Rockford parents accused of beating children with household items released from jail

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A Winnebago County judge orders two Rockford parents facing multiple domestic and aggravated battery charges to be released under pretrial conditions.

Sango Byamoni, 46, and Uzima Yohali, 41, are accused of beating their children with a broomstick, wooden spoon and computer wire, according to a report filed in court.

The documents say a 12-year-old girl called 911 Wednesday claiming her mother hit her with a stick and her father was beating her older sister.
