637 N.J. jobs jeopardized after major meal supplier files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

FreshRealm, a Linden-based fresh-food platform, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, putting more than 800 employees in New Jersey and California at risk of losing their jobs.

According to a state Department of Labor WARN Act notice (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act) on Monday, 637 workers at the company’s facility at 901 W. Linden Ave. in Linden could lose their jobs by late June or late July, depending on how the bankruptcy process unfolds.
