Boy, 14, punched, choked by man in broad-daylight attack on Staten Island: Source

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 14-year-old boy who was walking home from school in New Springville Thursday afternoon was punched and choked by a man in a broad-daylight attack, the Advance/SILive.com has learned.

Officers responded around 2:30 p.m. to a report of a boy who was attacked at the intersection of Richmond Avenue and Travis Avenue, according to an NYPD spokesperson.

The boy did not lose consciousness, but was taken to Northwell Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze, a source with knowledge of the investigation told the Advance/SILive.com…
