SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – As our cold front makes its final push through today, we’re tracking widespread rain across the area, with a few embedded thunderstorms possible. Rainfall totals will generally range between 1-2 inches, with some localized spots picking up 2″+. While widespread flooding isn’t expected, you may encounter ponding on roadways, so use caution if you’re out driving.
This is much-needed rainfall, so overall conditions are beneficial for the region. A few storms to our south could become strong to severe, but locally, we’re not expecting severe weather as we are seeing a cloudy and cool day, with highs only reaching the mid to upper 60s. Rain will taper off this evening, and clouds will gradually clear overnight.
