LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — Spirit Airlines announced early Saturday morning that it is ceasing operations immediately and all flights have been cancelled. Charleston International Airport has chimed in on the issue, offering alternatives for travelers with now cancelled flights.
The news was shared at approximately 4 a.m. via a statement posted on the company’s social media accounts. The statement reads as follows:
