Collierville’s Fair on the Square celebrates 50 years of community tradition

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — Collierville, Tennessee is marking a major milestone this weekend as the annual Fair on the Square celebrates its 50th anniversary.

The two-day event, hosted by the Town of Collierville and the Twentieth Century Club, runs May 2–3 and coincides with the nation’s 250th anniversary, blending local tradition with a larger celebration of American history.

Mayor Maureen Fraser officially kicked off the festivities by proclaiming May 2 as “Fair on the Square Day.”

What began in 1976 as a small Bicentennial Crafts Fair has grown into Collierville’s largest public arts and crafts event. Today, it features more than 160 vendors and draws tens of thousands of visitors each year…
