Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian marks 100 years in Detroit’s Indian Village

DETROIT – Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church is celebrating a major milestone — 100 years in its historic building in Detroit’s Indian Village neighborhood.

The church itself has been a fixture in the community for 172 years, but this weekend, members gathered to mark a century in the stunning structure they now call home.

“This is a church for generations where people can come and be loved and experience that love no matter who you are,” said Rev. Laura Kelsey, the church’s pastor.
