A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 5:07 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 5:45 p.m. for Lane County Cascade Foothills and Cascades of Lane County.
The storms may bring marble-sized hail (0.5 inches).
“At 5:07 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm 8 miles west of Hills Creek Reservoir, or 8 miles southwest of Oakridge, moving southwest at 15 mph,” says the weather service. “Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.”…
