Sabrina Ionescu was set to have an MRI on Monday after injuring her left ankle Sunday in the New York Liberty’s 79-67 preseason win over the host Connecticut Sun.
The Liberty said they are hopeful it’s nothing major. The regular season starts Friday night with New York hosting Connecticut.
