WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A West Palm Beach man is behind bars after deputies say he opened fire on a home where his sister and her baby were sleeping, leaving both wounded in an early-morning shooting that authorities describe as targeted and violent.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said that its deputies were called to a neighborhood shortly before 6 a.m. on May 1 following reports of shots being fired. When they arrived at the home, they found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds to her leg and foot. She was holding her infant, who had also been shot in the leg, according to arrest records.
Both were rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Center for emergency treatment, according to PBSO. Their conditions were not immediately released…
