Baton Rouge native hosts motherless daughters brunch ahead of Mother’s Day

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A Baton Rouge native is inviting women who have lost their mothers to a brunch ahead of Mother’s Day, giving them a space where their grief is often not noticed.

Tasha Anthony lost her mom when she was three years old and recently lost her grandmother. She wanted to find a way that other women like her can cope with that loss.

“What I wanted to do was give women an opportunity to honor their moms in a space often times that’s overlooked when you don’t have a mom,” Anthony said…
