Police: 2 Cars Collide on I-78 After Third Stops for ‘Unknown Reason’

Pennsylvania State Police at Belfast said they investigated an accident on I-78 in Lower Saucon Township last month that occurred when a driver stopped in the middle of the highway for an unknown reason.

According to a May 3 accident report, the crash happened April 8 at mile marker 69.9 on the Rt. 33 south ramp to I-78 west.

Police said that shortly before 8 a.m., the driver of an unidentified vehicle who was westbound in the ramp’s left lane stopped in the middle of the lane for “an unknown reason.”…
