Rudy Giuliani’s Health Shows Signs of Improvement After Hospitalization

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani was hospitalized over the weekend following a serious decline in his health, but recent updates suggest he is on the path to recovery.

Maria Ryan, a nurse and close associate of Giuliani, spoke with Fox News host Jesse Watters on Monday evening, expressing optimism about the former mayor’s condition. According to Ryan, Giuliani began feeling unwell after returning from a trip to Paris, with his breathing worsening to the extent that he needed to be hospitalized and placed on a ventilator.

At one point, Giuliani’s condition became critical, prompting the arrival of a Catholic priest to perform last rites. However, Ryan reported that Giuliani has since been taken off the ventilator and is now breathing on his own.

“He’s a fighter,” she said. “The prayers from around, it’s like a miracle.

This guy’s got nine lives; today he’s doing much better.” The 81-year-old remains in critical but stable condition, and Ryan is hopeful for a full recovery.

Giuliani’s spokesperson, Ted Goodman, provided further details, stating that the former mayor was battling pneumonia linked to restrictive airway disease, a condition he developed following his experience during the September 11 attacks when he was New York City’s mayor. Goodman described Giuliani as a resilient figure confronting his health challenges with determination and asked the public to keep him in their thoughts and prayers.

Ryan has been referred to as Giuliani’s nurse, doctor, and primary care provider, though court documents have labeled her as his “alleged girlfriend.” The pair have been seen attending official events and spending holidays together, although Ryan has denied a romantic relationship, describing Giuliani instead as one of her best friends.

Questions about Ryan’s credentials have surfaced. While she identifies as a board-certified nurse, she has claimed to hold a PhD from Warren National University, an online institution that lost accreditation and was criticized by a Senate committee for not meeting academic standards. Ryan maintains that all of her degrees are legitimate and were recognized at the time she earned them.

Giuliani’s hospitalization has drawn public attention, including a message from former President Donald Trump on social media. Trump praised Giuliani as “a true warrior” and “the best mayor in the history of New York City,” while criticizing Democrats for their treatment of him and alleging election-related conspiracies.

As Giuliani remains under medical care, supporters are hopeful that his health will continue to improve in the coming days.
