It started as a hot dog roast with a few bikers on the sand in 1940 and grew to one of the largest motorcycle gatherings in the country.
But in all those nearly 90 years, the Myrtle Beach Bike Rally has never been officially documented. That will change this year when organizers plan to shoot a professional documentary about the Spring and Fall Rally that is estimated to draw more than 600,000 people between the two events.
