BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Former Mayor Sharon Weston Broome has retained a high-profile Baton Rouge criminal defense lawyer as a corruption case widens into her administration.
James Boren told the WAFB I-TEAM that the former mayor recently hired him. She was subpoenaed to appear before a grand jury tomorrow, but the meeting was abruptly postponed today. No future date has been set.
