SUAMICO, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials with the Suamico Fire Department say they had a rare and busy week after responding to not one, but two emergency home deliveries.
Happening rain or shine: Lambeau Field prepares for Luke Combs
In a post on social media, firefighters and personnel from County Rescue responded to two calls in five days last week that resulted in safely helping welcome two newborn babies into the world before they could arrive at the hospital.
Officials say it is already rare for firefighters and paramedics to deliver a baby in the field, and they add that the fact they had to do it twice in a week is “truly extraordinary.”
Congratulations to both families on their newest additions, and great work by all responding personnel for staying calm, compassionate, and prepared when every second counts…
