Drivers face night closures on I-84 in Nampa for Highway 16 project

BOISE, Idaho — Drivers traveling through Nampa this week should prepare for closures on I-84 between Garrity and Ten Mile starting May 5.

The closures are a part of continued work on the Highway 16 interchange as crews work on the top deck of the ramps, according to the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD).

Westbound lanes will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, and traffic should detour through Franklin Road. Eastbound lanes will close the following Friday, May 8, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., with the same Franklin Road detour. Drivers will need to exit at Ten Mile and take Franklin Road before re-entering the freeway at Garrity Road. ITD suggests planning for delays or finding alternate routes during that timeframe…
