SALT LAKE CITY — A woman with methamphetamine in her system when she ran a red light and killed a bicyclist in 2022 has been granted parole.
Michelle Margo Roe, 64, of Midvale, will be released from the Utah State Prison on May 26. The Utah Board of Pardons and Parole noted in announcing its decision that Roe has completed her treatment programs while incarcerated and has not been a discipline problem.
On Sept. 13, 2022, after using meth the night before and getting into an argument with her son the next morning, Roe was running late for work and ran a red light at the intersection of Cottonwood Street and Vine Street.
