STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A truck fire briefly shut down two lanes on the Goethals Bridge to Staten Island on Tuesday afternoon before emergency crews cleared the scene.
The fire was reported at 1:25 p.m. in the vicinity of 2777 Goethals Road North, according to the FDNY. That address is a Port Authority office near the bridge.
The blaze involved debris in the back of a pickup truck, according to preliminary reports.
