Riviera Beach approves nearly $200K payout for former city manager

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Riviera Beach city leaders approved separation agreement with City Manager Jonathan Evans during Wednesday night’s city council meeting, a deal that’s going to cost taxpayers nearly $200,000.

The item was listed for discussion on the council’s May 6 agenda, scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Marina Event Center.

According to the proposed agreement, Evans’ last day was on Wednesday and both sides would not renew his contract, which runs through July 2026…
