The (15 – 15) Hueytown Golden Gophers became the Class 6A Area 8 Runner-Ups by defeating Bessemer City 18 – 1 & 15 – 0. The Golden Gophers fell to McAdory 2 – 4 and 5 – 12. The Golden Gophers will advance to the Central Regionals in Montgomery at Lagoon Park to face (17 – 15 – 1) Chilton County.
