KNIGHTS FERRY, Calif. — Human remains found near Highway 108 in Stanislaus County are now being investigated as a homicide, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies responded around 1 p.m. on April 30 to the 16200 block of Highway 108 after the remains were reported. Investigators found the remains near the side of the road.
