Floral show in Albany to support local education center

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — As buds start to bloom, an Albany museum is planning to use spring flowers to support its education center and ability to offer free programming. The Ten Broeck Mansion is hosting a floral show and tea tasting fundraiser starting on May 28.

Guests who stop by the mansion through May 31 can take a floral tour of the mansion, which is filled with designs from local florists. Some of the participants in the floral show include Blooms by Marie, Danker Florist, Samantha Nass Floral & Event Design, and many others.

The mansion is also hosting tea tastings from local tea makers like The Whistling Kettle and Harney Tea during the tours. The tours are at noon, 1 p.m., and 2 p.m., and there’s an additional family tour on May 31 that requires separate registration.

The museum is also hosting a concert during the tours on May 31 at 3:30 p.m. with a salon-style performance by flutist Melanie Chirignan and Celtic harpist Dr. Darhon Rees‑Rohrbacher. There’s also a vintage china and wreath sale, along with activities and demonstrations to enjoy…
