3 firefighters rescued after being stranded in cold Dauphin County waters: dispatch

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Three firefighters were rescued after being trapped in cold waters overnight in Londonderry Township, according to dispatch.

The call came in around 10:49 p.m. when Bainbridge firefighters were reportedly trapped in very cold waters at River Road at the Dam after rescuing people from a stalled boat with multiple people aboard.

Reports were that rescue boats were deployed to assist with a lost/stuck boat located in the waters near where the Susquehanna River and Conewago Creek meet. Crews from Lancaster, Dauphin, and York counties flocked to the scene to assist…
