Walton-Verona Independent Public School district has named Dr. Dylan Smith as its new superintendent. Smith will take the reins from Matt Baker, who is retiring from the role at the end of the school year.
Smith will officially become superintendent on July 1.
Smith currently serves as the assistant superintendent for student learning at Oldham County Schools.
