NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Metro Nashville Police officer was injured Thursday night in an altercation with a pedestrian.
MNPD spokesperson Don Aaron told WSMV4 that Patrol Officer Peter Kinsey was almost to the I-440 exit ramp onto West End Avenue when he spotted a pedestrian walking along the interstate. The pedestrian was later identified as 43-year-old Joseph Rainey.
The preliminary investigation shows that Officer Kinsey stopped and spoke with Rainey, and officers at the scene said for unknown reasons the incident escalated to an altercation, Aaron said…
