Austin Chronicle’s Best of Austin Voting Returns With More Than 800 Finalists

Austin, TEXAS–The next round of voting is officially underway for the Best of Austin Readers Poll, giving Austinites the chance to celebrate their favorite local businesses, personalities, restaurants, artists, and experiences across the city.

Hosted each year by the Austin Chronicle, the longtime readers’ poll has become a beloved tradition highlighting the people and places that make Austin unique.

Kimberly Jones joined Trevor Scott and Sierra Waggoner to share details about this year’s voting and the excitement surrounding more than 800 finalists across 180 categories.

“It’s go time,” said Jones, “We’re picking winners here, guys. There are over 800 finalists right now. That’s across a whole bunch of different categories in arts and entertainment, in food and drink, kids and family services, and shopping. So it’s a huge mix of the stuff that we like to go out and do, the bars, the restaurants. And then also just the practical things we all need to get through our lives. If it’s a new roof or it’s a mani-pedi.”
