Rockford woman convicted of obstruction in fatal stabbing released from jail pending sentencing

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — A Rockford woman found guilty of obstructing justice in connection with a fatal stabbing last fall has been released from custody and is scheduled to return to court next month.

Varianna Parsons, 21, was released from the Winnebago County Jail Friday after previously being held in custody since Nov. 19, 2025.

Court records show Parsons is due back in court June 9, with sentencing scheduled for July 10…
