COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The driver of a dump truck has been seriously hurt after crashing into an overpass at the Interstate 270 and 71 interchange Friday afternoon.
Just before 2 p.m., the dump truck was exiting from I-270 to I-71 southbound while the truck’s bed was in a raised position. The bed caught on the overpass, separating the bed from the truck’s frame. As the truck kept moving forward, the driver was thrown from the cab.
The driver was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital with life-threatening injuries…
